Power-Trio Jazz
After touring the Swiss and French jazz scene as a sideman for several years, Valentin Liechti is now at the lead of a trio, accompanied by Australian bassist Rodrigo Aravena and French trumpeter Shems Bendali. Between acoustic and electric sounds, this power trio offers a great variety of explorations. A triangle in which the trumpet navigates between drums and bass, sometimes becoming a diamond when electronics are involved. The music offers melodic bandwidths that lead the listener into a surreal melancholy with mysterious traces, while leaving room for intense moments of im-provisation.
